Category Title
This course presents the theory of large natural gas engines, with an emphasis on applications to gas compression. Although this course begins with basic topics, it incorporates current research results from CSU's Engines & Engine Conversion Laboratory. The course seeks to provide value to both new and experienced users of gas engines. Topics discussed include: types of gas engines, thermodynamics of gas engines, unique features of gas engines, ignition systems for gas engines, fuel preparation in gas engines, formation of “criteria pollutants” in gas engines, formation of “hazardous air pollutants” in gas engines.
